Indulge me; I’m going to carry the fitness theme into this week’s Fashion Friday because I have a few thought’s to add to my previous post.
The outfit here, which would be fine either at the gym or at your house, is really not nearly as important as the idea. These are just basic activewear pieces; yoga pants, biker shorts, sports bra top, zip up hoodie, and athletic shoes. If you’re me the only two items to be picky about are the sports bra top and the footwear. Most of you will have no trouble (and some of you no need) finding a well-fitting sports bra. I have yet to find one, and it’s not from lack of trying, so I just wear a regular bra and tee. Your athletic shoes should be where you spend your cash. Make sure they fit well and are geared towards the activities for which you are wearing them.
The exercise equipment pictured aren’t just props. I use all of these at some point during the week in my workouts. Instead of a bicycle I use a stationary peddler but the workout is comparable. The point I want to make, especially to those of you with physical limitations, is you have to tailor the concept of exercise to your own abilities. Only you know the difference between possibilities and excuses.
Do it today, then do it tomorrow, then the next day. After a month you’ll be able to see yourself always doing some form of physical activity.

The outfits that I put together for Fashion Friday are based on my BODS profile. Sure, some of the items I use are beyond my price range but I’m certain I can find reasonable equivalents within my budget. I would love the opportunity to put some together for you for the next installment of Fashion Friday. If you’re interested email me with your BODS profile and we’ll make it happen!

yea, if i could just stick to the do it again part. LOL
brett
LOL Brett! It takes three weeks of the same behavior repeated on a daily basis to make it feel like a habit – just 21 days. If you can stick with it for that long your body will beg you to keep it up
Great title! How are you feeling?
I’m feeling just fine, Alys, thanks for asking! It’s hubby that’s not doing well. He threw his back out last Thursday when he bent over to tie his shoelace and is still far from ok
I’m glad you are feeling fine, but so sorry to hear about your husband’s back. I’ve suffered on and off with back and neck issues (stemmed from an ancient auto accident) so I know full well how debilitating that can be. I hope he can get some relief soon. Sometimes it just takes time.
I found you from a comment you left on garden nirvana. What an interesting blog. I’d love to do a post or small informational piece on it. I write about making the world beautiful and your blog fits the bill.
Hi Susan. Thank you for the compliment about my blog. I think we both want to make the world beautiful. In particular I want women to understand how beautiful they can be! I’d be very honored for you to write something about Spashionista Report!
You don’t say what aspect of sports bras doesn’t work for you. I am too wide (I eat lunch
and not flexible enough to cope with an over the head racerback style bra. My sports bras are Fiona from Moving Comfort – they have a back closure, come in a boatload of colors, are comfy, and can double as shorty camisoles under tops with low necklines.
Katja, the style that works for you doesn’t come in my size. I’m a G cup so that limits my choices right away. The only source I have is online and I’ve tried several models but I either can’t fasten them without supreme effort or they just don’t fit properly. Since there is a restocking fee for every bra I return after the fourth attempt I kind of gave up.
Ah, bummer!
